"I'll Bet You $20"

This short film explores the recreation of analogue set building techniques in the creation of traditional film effects.

With the automation of a mechanical reeling backdrop, the narrative is brought to life at the hands of an active, co-oridinated film crew. The end of the film reveals the intricacies of the process as if  choreographed. It is played out through synchronised action and the physical operation of the set.

The surrealism of the scene is accompanied by an audio of light harmonica playing (performed by myself) and recorded wind sounds that paint this landscape and the conversation between the instruments.
